Second Place:
Queen Joanna & the Abbott

A friend in need… & a wonderful resource!

Friday, May 25th, 2007

I sent out an email about this on Tuesday to the folks on our email list, but it is worth repeating here as we’ve had LOTS of folks thanking us for this “heads up”. Here’s that email:

Just a couple hours ago I heard from a good online friend who told me about their current situation (she has fibromyalgia and they need to move to a single-level house) … and the really amazing package she and her husband have put together to help with their downpayment.

I just love this, and so I got one for us… but I knew it would also be something a LOT of y’all would want to see too.

Here’s a page I cobbled together quickly for you to check out:

Take a look if you would, their material is just great and we’re even adding something of our own to make it even more worth your while.

The Little Homeschool Library: Our Children In Heaven

Saturday, May 19th, 2007

This new volume in “The Little Homeschool Library” is now available.

Our Children In Heaven
Originally published in 1890, this completely forgotten little book by Dr. James Maple has been lost for decades. Yet its pages contain a well-spring of comfort for all who have lost loved ones, big and small, to death. When we discovered it on the dusty shelf of an antique shop (the owner did not even know he had it), we knew we just had to make it available again. It is our hope that you will find in these messages a sweet comfort for aching and weary hearts.

There is no charge for this downloadable ebook. It is freely given.
Take a look, and please pass along this link to your friends.

Introducing The Little Homeschool Library

Thursday, May 17th, 2007

Today we introduce the first of several great resources that will make up “The Little Homeschool Library”.

These are wonderful, top-of-the-line downloadable resources — curriculum, audio collections, tutorials and more — designed especially for homeschoolers, at prices anyone can afford (especially if you take advantage of the Introductory Price sales) and ONLY available at The Little Homeschool Library.

Also, these resources include a HUGE and I mean HUGE added bonus that is exclusive to The Little Homeschool Library. Once you’ve ordered a copy of one of these titles, you will see for yourself… but let’s just say if you’ve always wanted to make a little extra money online but did not know how, this WILL be your answer.

Our first release is “How to Play the Piano By Ear”.

It is a delight.

The price for this first resource?

A mere $4.95, until the end of May.

Picciola, The Word Detective, Father Knows Best!

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

This week we have four great programs for you to listen to and enjoy…

A tale of a forlorn prisoner during the French Revolution who discovers a ray of hope growing in his prison yard…

Two fascinating stories on the origins of common words with “The Word Detective”…

And a great episode of “Father Knows Best” wherein Dad tries to convince the kids that life in the “good old days” was better than what they have today (today being in the 1950s). Classic family nostalgia and fun!

Plus… a great Memorial Day study resource, and more!

400 Years of History

Tuesday, May 8th, 2007

This week, we have FIVE separate stories with one common thread… They all are a part of the history of the State of Virginia! From colonial explorations to the Civil War, these are some great stories from the pages of Virginia (and American) History.
